Alexsandro Amaral - Person-Centred (Humanistic) Counsellor
Bio
As an Person-Centred Counsellor, I offer a compassionate approach rooted in authentic connection. My extensive experience encompasses supporting clients through addiction recovery, trauma processing, common life problem, neurodiversity-related concerns, LGBTQ+ specific issues, chemsex-related challenges, couples therapy, young adults mental health support, and professional difficulties. I create a safe, non-judgmental therapeutic space where clients can explore their experiences and develop meaningful insights. My integrative approach allows me to tailor therapy to each individual's unique needs, drawing from humanistic principles that honour your inherent capacity for growth and self-discovery. I believe in meeting clients exactly where they are, supporting your autonomy while offering professional guidance informed by both clinical expertise and lived understanding of diverse experiences.

Alexsandro AmaralCertified Therapist
I would initially suggest a set of twelve sessions to allow my clients the necessary time and space to work on the goals they want to achieve. I am happy to offer more sessions after we work together on your Care Plan and your next expectations on therapy.
Experience
With over four years of dedicated service in UK treatment centres, I've developed a robust foundation in therapeutic practice across diverse settings. Currently, I specialise in youth coaching and mental health support, helping young people navigate their unique challenges with empathy and evidence-based approaches.
My multilingual capabilities in English, Portuguese, and Spanish have enabled me to work effectively with international clients, bringing cultural sensitivity and nuanced understanding to therapeutic relationships across borders. This linguistic versatility allows me to connect with clients in their native language, fostering deeper communication and comfort in the therapeutic process.
