Bio

My life had a sudden change when I was around 30, in the midst of a major life transition, when I suddenly realized that I couldn’t actually control everything in my life.

The anxiety that surfaced unexpectedly first led me to meditation. It had its benefits but, later I noticed that I was also using meditation as a way to escape from myself.

After years of searching, I discovered Gestalt therapy – an approach that helped me dare to move toward others and, through that, to find myself. It taught me to become aware of and accept what was truly happening inside me, instead of denying it. Piece by piece, I got to know the painful parts of myself and, at the same time, discovered new and more integrated aspects.

Later through Internal Family Systems, IFS and embodied work, my connection to myself has deepened. I have learned to recognize why at times strong protective walls did rise and cut off contact with others – and why, at other times, I could dare to show myself again.

Through my own experiences and trainings, I now want to help others become more visible and live more fully as who they truly are.

Experience

In Gestalt therapy one of the principles is the focus on here and now. The awareness of our immediate experience of present moment is the key to start learning about our experience and behaviour. When acknowledged and accepted the change can happen as it is the struggle that keeps us suffering. All our emotions, features and parts have the same mission: to keep us safe, although we don’t feel it that way. Gestalt is an integrative form of therapy and embodiment is one of the key aspects. How our body knows many times more than our mind.

This lead me to study TRE, Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises, technique that perfectly supports Gestalt. For me the body is the way to more fulfilling living. I want to support you to get to know the real you, the authentic you living to the fullest.

I also work with Internal Family Systems, IFS, which is really transformational and beneficial model in helping people to get new insights.
