Juha Takanen - Gestalt therapist
Bio
I began my professional journey in the world of media, but my deeper interest has always been in psychology and the human experience. This curiosity naturally led me to study mindfulness, and later to train as a Gestalt therapist.
Gestalt therapy resonates with me because it integrates traditional psychotherapy with the Zen-like qualities of presence, paradox, and the wisdom of the here and now.
Over time, my focus has expanded to include the body as an essential part of the healing process. This led me to train as a certified TRE® provider, working with tension and trauma release through the body.

Gestalt therapy helps you reconnect with yourself in the present moment. It supports issues like relationships, low self-esteem, anxiety, addiction, and life purpose. Not just talk – but real experience, awareness, and change. Let’s explore the real you, together.
Experience
In gestalt therapy one of the principles is the focus on here and now. The awareness of our immediate experience of present moment is the key to start learning about our experience and behaviour. When acknowledged and accepted the change can happen as it is the struggle that keeps us suffering. All our emotions, features and parts have the same mission: to keep us safe, although we don’t feel it that way. Gestalt is an integrative form of therapy and embodiment is one of the key aspects. How our body knows many times more than our mind. This lead me to study TRE, Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises, technique that perfectly supports Gestalt. For me the body is the way to more fulfilling living. I want to support you to get to know the real you, the authentic you living to the fullest.
