Maaria Aksar - BACP Accredited Psychotherapist.
Bio
Hi, I’m Maaria, and I’m passionate about helping people navigate life’s ups and downs while unlocking their full potential. With experience working with depression, anxiety, grief, self-esteem issues, work-related stress, and other life challenges, I provide a safe and supportive space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings. I have 8 years of experience working in the mental health sector across various roles within the NHS and private sector. I’ve also completed a Level 1 qualification in Islamic counselling, which allows me to offer a faith-based and spiritual approach for clients who would find this helpful in navigating their challenges. My approach is a balance of practical strategies and meaningful conversations tailored to your unique needs. When working with me, we’ll explore what may be holding you back from achieving a specific goal, why it may be impacting you, and techniques to help you move forward. I work with your autonomy in mind—giving you space to guide the sessions and explore more deeply what’s standing in the way of your happiness and progress. Outside of work, I love reading and going for walks, especially because being outdoors and in nature feels therapeutic to me. I also enjoy trying different foods from various cultures and absolutely love travelling. Together, we’ll work on building clarity, confidence, and resilience to face life with more intention. Let’s work together to create a life that feels more aligned, purposeful, and fulfilling.
