Louise Bennett - I’m a person-centred counsellor, registered with the NCPS. I offer a kind, non-judgemental space where you can talk through what’s going on for you.
Bio
When we feel truly heard and accepted, it can bring relief, clarity, or a renewed sense of self. My role is to support you as you explore what matters most to you — whether that's easing anxiety, navigating life changes, or reconnecting with yourself.
I offer online counselling sessions where the focus is always on you and what you need. As a person-centred therapist, my aim is to create a natural, nurturing space where you can feel safe, comfortable, and at ease. Our sessions are designed to help you slow down, breathe, and take things at your own pace. There’s no pressure to be anything other than yourself. I see our work together as a respectful relationship—one where your autonomy, experiences, and essence are valued. You bring your life and your perspective, and I meet you there with openness, empathy, and care. Clients find therapy with me helps them:
°Gain greater self-awareness and clarity °Recognise patterns and triggers °Untangle a chaotic or busy mind °Make decisions that align with their values °Feel more self-acceptance and self-esteem °Rediscover a sense of purpose and connection
Even small shifts — being able to breathe more easily, or noticing a little more lightness — can be the first steps towards change.
Why work with me? Clients often describe me as calm, centred, and down-to-earth. My warmth and relaxed approach help people feel at ease, while my gentle challenge encourages growth and autonomy. If you’ve felt judged, pressured, or dismissed elsewhere, my hope is that you’ll experience therapy with me as a refreshing alternative: a space where you are welcomed exactly as you are.

Louise BennettCertified Therapist
Experienced counsellor supporting adults through loss, stress, late diagnoses, and life transitions—bringing a rich background in welfare and community work.
Experience
I work with adults from all walks of life. My background before becoming a counsellor was in the welfare system, where I supported people navigating housing insecurity and financial hardship. That work gave me a strong understanding of how life’s practical challenges can affect mental and emotional wellbeing.
Counselling is a second career for me, which means I bring a wide base of life experience as well as professional training. I’ve worked with people aged 18 to 82, from a variety of backgrounds, including those who have spent time in conflict zones or high-stress global roles. I understand the impact of long-term pressure, hidden struggles, and life transitions that aren't always visible to others.
I’ve also volunteered with charities providing therapy to older adults and individuals living in remote areas where services are hard to reach. This has deepened my belief in the importance of access—making sure that therapy is available not just in crisis, but as a space to explore and understand the self over time.
Whether you’re beginning therapy for the first time or returning after a break, you’re welcome here.
