Bio

Hi there! 👋 If you're seeking an experienced, highly qualified professional to support you in achieving your personal or organisational goals, you're in the right place.

A few key highlights about me:

Academic Background: I hold a BSc in Psychology, an MSc in Forensic Psychology, and an MSc in Applied Positive Psychology & Coaching Psychology. I am currently pursuing a PhD in Psychology, with a focus on researching endometriosis—an area I am deeply passionate about.

Professional Expertise: With over 15 years of experience in primary care mental health services, I’ve supported individuals with severe and enduring mental illnesses. I specialise in helping people thrive within their communities. With around 23,000 hours of 1:1 client experience, you can trust that I have the expertise to guide you through personal development, health, and wellbeing coaching.

Coaching Services: I provide both 1:1 and group coaching sessions, including endometriosis coaching, personal development, health & wellbeing, and corporate coaching. My corporate services are grounded in my 30 year local government career and focus on leadership development, change management, career coaching, and resilience training.

Advocacy for Endometriosis: As someone who lives with endometriosis, I am a strong advocate for those suffering from this condition. I regularly publish blogs and content about my research and personal journey with this illness.

Personal Journey: Four years ago, I moved to the beautiful Southwest UK from Oldham, near Manchester, in search of a life change, driven by personal and health challenges. I understand firsthand the fear and excitement that comes with transformation, and I’m here to help you navigate those same changes with empathy, insight, and humour. I know the science, the theories, and the research, but I also understand what it feels like to go through it.

Experience

With over three decades of public sector experience and more than 23,000 hours of one-to-one client work, I bring a depth of psychological, coaching, and strategic insight to every client interaction. My career journey has taken me from frontline mental health services to high-level strategic roles within local government, and now into the transformative field of coaching psychology.

I am working toward Chartered status as a Coaching Psychologist with the British Psychological Society, currently undertaking a PhD in Psychology at the University of East London. My doctoral research focuses on women’s psychological experiences of endometriosis, and how positive psychology and coaching psychology can support wellbeing during and after diagnosis. This reflects a wider interest in how coaching can empower individuals facing complex health and life challenges.

My academic background includes a BSc in Psychology, an MSc in Applied Forensic Psychology, and an MSc in Applied Positive Psychology and Coaching Psychology. I bring a psychologically informed, evidence-based approach to all coaching engagements, drawing on the latest research and theory in positive psychology, resilience, identity, and personal growth.

1:1 and Group Coaching Experience Throughout my career, I have worked across a broad spectrum of client needs. I have coached and supported individuals dealing with significant mental health difficulties, trauma, identity loss, and major life transitions. My coaching style is compassionate, structured, and strengths-based. I create a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered to move forward.

I offer tailored coaching in the following areas:

Health & Wellbeing Coaching, particularly for those living with chronic or invisible illnesses such as endometriosis.

Resilience and Strengths Coaching, rooted in positive psychology, to help individuals navigate adversity and reconnect with their personal power.

Career and Leadership Coaching, drawing on my experience working with senior leaders and my training in strategic management (ILM Level 7).

Coaching for Change and Transition, helping clients make sense of complex life shifts, build confidence, and find renewed direction.

I also offer group coaching and workshops, often weaving in the SPARK Resilience model and techniques from positive psychology, narrative approaches, and values-based coaching.

Psychological and Mental Health Foundation I have a rich history of working with individuals experiencing severe and enduring mental ill health, including depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, personality disorders, and dual diagnosis (mental health and learning disabilities). For over a decade, I worked as a mental health support worker, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including psychiatric nurses, social workers, and consultant psychiatrists.

This experience has honed my ability to hold space for complexity, work with psychological depth, and maintain ethical and person-centred boundaries in my coaching. I understand the human experience of adversity—not only from my professional work, but from personal experience too—and this brings authenticity and empathy to my practice.

Strategic and Organisational Insight Beyond coaching and psychology, I bring significant experience in strategic policy, governance, and organisational development. I’ve led on projects involving:

Policy development and compliance

Risk and performance management

Leadership team support and consultancy

Stakeholder engagement and transformation work

I have worked in local government where I’ve received recognition for high-impact contributions to service redesign, performance frameworks, and strategic leadership support. This background enables me to work effectively with senior leaders, HR professionals, and teams navigating complexity and change.

Continuous Learning and Holistic Practice I am a lifelong learner with a growth mindset. Each year I challenge myself to try something new, from free diving to practitioner training in digital mindset programmes. I am also qualified in holistic therapies (sports massage and reflexology), and I integrate this understanding of body-mind wellbeing into my coaching where appropriate.

My coaching is trauma-informed, psychologically grounded, and deeply person-centred. I believe in helping clients reconnect with what truly matters to them, working collaboratively to uncover strengths, foster hope, and create meaningful forward movement.
