Elisavet Tsamoura - Person Centred Counsellor
Bio
I am a qualified person-centred counsellor offering a warm, empathic, and non-judgmental space for adults navigating life’s challenges. With over 150 client hours supporting individuals through anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and life transitions, I will bring authenticity, deep listening, and compassion to every therapeutic encounter. Having transitioned from a long-standing career in the travel industry, I combine strong interpersonal and organisational skills with a genuine commitment to personal growth and emotional wellbeing.
Areas of Focus:
Grief, loss, and life transitions
Anxiety, stress, and low mood
Relationship and family difficulties
Self-esteem and identity
Trauma and adjustment to change
Cultural displacement and refugee experiences
Therapeutic Approach
My practice is grounded in the person-centred approach, developed by Carl Rogers, which holds that individuals have within them the resources for growth and healing. I offer unconditional positive regard, empathic understanding, and congruence to support clients in exploring their inner world at their own pace. I also draw on elements of solution-focused and non-violent communication approaches to meet each client’s unique needs while maintaining the integrity of the person-centred ethos.
